Northern Flicker Unisex Sweatshirt
Northern Flicker Unisex Sweatshirt
The Northern Flicker is most commonly found in open woodlands and forests, where it loves to feed on insects. Its diet consists mainly of ants, beetles and other invertebrates, but it also enjoys eating fruits and berries during the summer months. It is known for its loud call; a sharp 'wick-a-wick-a-wick' or 'flick-a, flick-a', which can be heard from quite some distance away. It is also known for creating drumming noises with its bill as a form of communication between birds. This bird has a very distinctive flight pattern too - it flies with several rapid wing flaps followed by a brief glide before repeating the process all over again.
