Northern Flicker Women's Short Sleeve T-Shirt
The northern flicker is a species of woodpecker native to North America. It is characterized by barred red and black plumage on its back, a yellow belly, white rump patches and distinctive facial markings. Its call is a loud 'wick-a-wack' sound that can be heard at over a kilometer away. It uses its long bill to search for ants or beetle larvae beneath the bark of trees or in the ground, which are its main food sources. The northern flicker is usually seen alone or in small groups unlikely ever to get larger than ten individuals. It is also known to visit backyard bird feeders but it has become increasingly difficult to find due to diminishing habitat caused by deforestation.
