Osprey Accessory Pouch

Ospreys are medium-sized birds of prey, typically being around 20-25 inches long, with wingspans stretching up to almost 6 feet. They can be found in habitats across the globe and will often defend their territory aggressively against bird species they perceive as a threat. Osprey mainly feeds on fish they catch from the air or water in shallow lakes, streams, and coastlines. These birds construct their nests out of sticks near bodies of water, usually at the highest point, such as a treetop or cliff ledge. While ospreys usually mate for life, animal encroachment on habitat due to human activity has led to terrible population decline in some countries. Thankfully through restoration and conservation programs and protected habitats, more osprey populations are making exciting comebacks!
