Osprey Women's Rash Guard
Osprey Women's Rash Guard
The osprey is an impressive species of raptor bird whose international distribution includes the Americas, Europe, Africa and parts of Asia. With their distinctive black and white striped heads and unique adaptations for hunting over water, they are recognizable even from a distance. Chief amongst these adaptations, the osprey has reversible outer toes which allow it to grab slippery prey from the water, as well as talons with barbs that easily penetrate wet skin. They often migrate large distances each year and have been observed as far south as Argentina for some populations, or even further north in Canada for other groups. In addition to its impressive physical characteristics, the osprey also has an interesting behavior that sets it apart from other bird species; it is known to be monogamous with its mate and will remain coupled consistently throughout their lives. All and all, the osprey is a fascinating animal both in terms of its physiology and behavior.
